Passion Yoga School: How do you use your work as a spiritual tool?

Angela Simson: I work as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, which means that daily I get to speak to people about what feeds them, not only physically but emotionally and spiritually. Being reminded daily of the importance of a spiritual practice through my clients inspires me more and more to add to mine. I coach completely intuitively, never going into a session with a plan but trusting that what needs to be spoken about will come out and it does 100% of the time.

PYS: The cracks are how the light gets in. Tell us how your core wounds have inspired your work.

Angela: To be honest, I had no huge breaks that led me to this passion. I simply saw people living amazing lives, where they were fed, loved and cared for but still not feeling at all fulfilled. Always waiting for something, marriage, babies, a bigger house or a better car. I was pulled into coaching because I believe that many of us take for granted what we have, we allow the stresses and struggles of everyday life to take away from the greatness of what we have in front of us. When you start to use gratitude and really focus on how lucky we are to have what we have, it's difficult to be pulled down by the speed bumps of life.

PYS: What is your worst habit and what are you doing to improve it?

Angela: I'm a chronic procrastin-eater! When I have something that needs to be done and I'm looking for distraction, I eat. Always healthy and nourishing food but it's my habit to go into the kitchen and make a smoothie or bake something when there is work to be done that I don't enjoy (aka sending out invoices or doing my bookkeeping. I'm working on improving it by adding a timer to my desk, I give myself 15-30 minutes per task and then I let myself move onto something else. That way I don't feel tied down to a 3 or 4 hour task in one day, it's spread out and manageable!

PYS: What advice would you offer to other goddesses working to actualize their potential?

Angela: The Cycle of Abundance. Inhale and Exhale. Then the cycle begins - Gratitude > generosity > giving > aligning > attracting > receiving > gratitude and round it goes. I have that always on my desk reminding me that by following abundance I will attract what I need and give what is deserved.

PYS: What does your daily spiritual practice look like?

Angela: Mornings are always different depending on what time my daughter wakes up. Meditation isn't an option when she's awake as she will be jumping all over me and prying my eye lids open. But if she sleeps in I start the day with a 10-15 minute meditation, sometimes guided and then I roll out my matt and stretch my body. If she's awake, we stay in bed for that extra 30 minutes together and cuddle, she's happy when she's in my arms with our foreheads touching. When my husband gets home from training it's our family time together and that's what fills me up inside.

PYS: Who inspires you?

Angela: The beautiful Kate Caddle.

Pierre Couvillion is a rare expert in Sanskrit, mantras and using sound to pierce the veils of your mind, body and soul. Most of us do not know how to use our own voice to express what we honestly feel. Even fewer of us know how to use sounds to heal, relax and fuel personal growth. With over two decades of live experience in Sanskrit, Pierre takes this ancient mystical knowledge and makes it easy to understand and easy to benefit from in modern living. He offers clear practices and techniques for accessing the power found in mantras. Sanskrit mantras are encoded with specific vibrational frequencies. When you use a particular mantra correctly you can tune into its specific energy and its power. Mantras can be used to gain higher perspective, calm the nerves, steady the mind, and clear dullness, to active the body, connect to your soul, for holistic healing and many more real world applications. Sanskrit has no traceable history and is considered the oldest recorded language on Earth. The power of Sanskrit is in allowing the individual a personal journey through sound from the inside out. This journey creates an opportunity to discover your own voice; to reclaim the power of your own sound. Sanskrit is a technology where words are organized based on how the palette strikes the brain. The meter and tones used in Sanskrit are designed to help you learn sounds which already are inside you. This is stored energy most of us are not using. We are literally missing out on resources already at our disposal. The use of mantras becomes the activator for this stored energy, stimulating its flow in our life. Pierre shows us how to produce sounds which match the vibrations of what generates authentic fulfillment. His expert voice guides the practice of cultivating your own sound using the underlying current of frequencies and the ancient wisdom of Sanskrit. When using this technology the powers a mantra contains become available to you. Pierre offers a practice to awaken your native spiritual energy and have it flow with ease. Traditionally mantras are thought to be a key part of stimulating higher levels of consciousness. They help deepen self understanding and the connection to all life. Sanskrit teaches using language to become more aware. Sound opens the doors to life around us leading to ultimate living and fulfillment. Pierre believes you need to go try it for yourself and not take his word for it. Listen in with Pierre as he pulls back the esoteric veil of Sanskrit, mantras and reveals the keys to using this ancestral technology in your own life…
